Our team are supporting Cancer Council's The March Charge...

As most of you know, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer which had spread to my lumbar and sternum.  Had quite the battle with surgery, chemo and then radiation.  I am always keen to try and support fundraising so similar to last year, I will commit to a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services.   Every day I am in pain, it’s just the intensity changes but I can still smile and I still wake every day thanking the universe for another beautiful day to make memories!.  I still hear my Dad’s voice in my head telling me “ok so you have cancer so you just gotta get on with it Bub and don’t waste your time thinking about it”, do everything as normal until you can’t!  

Did you know almost 1 in 2 Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85, we're doing our part to change this by Charging, getting active, and fundraising to end cancer. 

Sadly we lost my Dad to lung cancer on 1st March 2022, he was diagnosed in 2017.  During Dads battle was when I was diagnosed which was on the 15th January 2021.  Having to tell my family that hey, I too now have a terminal diagnosis just broke my heart!  So yeah I was glad to see the backend of 2021!  

This is just such a terrible debilitating and destructive disease, impacts most families.  

Dad and I couldn’t have got through our treatment plans without the love and support of our beautiful family!.  They certainly held Dad up and myself up during a time we were at our weakest and most vulnerable!  I am grateful for my amazing beautiful family, you embraced me with nothing but unconditional love and I will always be so grateful to you all.
