Since I have now hit my current goal of running 90km in March I will be running an extra 5 km for every $50 I raise from now on - let's get to $1500 before the month is up!

I'm taking on Cancer Council's The March Charge...

...a month-long fitness challenge to raise funds for world-class cancer research, prevention programs, and support services. As someone who has seen what it's like to try and conduct research to cure cancer I can't explain just how needed this money is. Each year dozens of great cancer research projects in Australia are ended simply because they don't have enough funding behind them to keep going or to move onto the next stage. It's truly appalling how much closer we could be to curing cancer if money wasn't an issue, so please help me to help those trying to put an end to this terrible disease and donate.

This year in Australia an estimated 162,000 people will hear the words "you have cancer". For cancer patients it isn't just the disease that is terrible, but so often it's the side effects from the life saving treatments that cause months or years of physical torment. People with cancer deserve better options, but that simply isn't possible without the funding to conduct research into new treatments.

Please sponsor me today to make every KM count! Every dollar raised will help support Cancer Council’s life-saving cancer research, prevention programs and support services.
