I'm taking on Cancer Council's The March Charge...
Following my recent prostate cancer diagnosis, I have decided to take part in the March, month-long fitness challenge to walk 85km to raise funds for cancer research, prevention programs, and support services.
And, whilst this may not seem a huge challenge to some, with my prostate removal surgery set for January 29th, and with an average 4 week+ recovery period, this really could be a bit of a stretch.
This year in Australia alone an estimated 162,000 people will hear the words "you have cancer", and I can tell you first hand the personal impact these few words have, but as importantly, the impact this has on your family and friends.
