For the second year, Demak Timber is taking on the March Charge to honour our boss, mentor, and friend, Daniel Trewin—the "D" in Demak.
Daniel was diagnosed with cancer in 2022, initially as lymphoma and later as CUP (Cancer of Unknown Primary). Despite a fierce fight, we tragically lost him in September 2023 at just 45 years old. But to us, he’s far more than just another statistic.
He was an incredible father, husband, son, and friend. His dry wit, infectious energy, and unwavering support made him unforgettable. He thrived on celebrating others’ achievements, loved a challenge, and was always the first to back his mates.
We know he would have loved the March Charge—the camaraderie, the jokes, the team spirit, and the chance to push ourselves for a great cause. The hardest part is not being able to share it with him.
We just hope that, wherever he is, he’s proud of us for charging forward in his honour.
